The attractions in Costa Rica and Jaco are varied, with each unique habitat seemingly breathing a life of its own. March is the ideal time to visit Costa Rica, as the National Festival of Arts runs during this period offering connoisseurs multiple venues for indulging in the Costa Rican art forms.

For the rugged lovers of the great outdoors, there is no limit to the truly unique attractions of Costa Rica and Jaco! Five percent of the world's biodiversity is located in Costa Rica, so you wouldn't want to miss the lush flora, captivating wildlife and rich habitats! Twenty-five percent of Costa Rica is covered in tropical rainforest, which you can get to (in Carara National Park) just 15 minutes from Jaco. Reconnect with nature in turquoise rivers, crystalline waterfalls and sultry hot springs in the Tenorio National Park.

The other attractions in vibrant Costa Rica and Jaco are as varied as they are numerous.

Nature lovers can hike through the beaches and rainforest habitats of Manuel Antonio National Park and keep a look out for spider-monkeys and active volcanoes in Arenal National Park.

Treasured glimpses of the endangered nesting turtles at Tortuguero National Park wrestle with the attractions of the 500 different species of trees at Corcovado National Park.

Another must-see for underwater adventurers is the reefs off Manzanillo Beach.

You can even visit the Pacific side for deep sea expeditions to spot moray eels, sharks and manta rays off the coast of Cano Island, the Catalina Islands or Cocos Island.

For the adventurous surfers, there are exciting attractions to be found in Costa Rica and Jaco. With annual surf competitions, warm tropical waves, friendly locals, and over 700 miles of coastline to explore spanning two different oceans, who could resist? You caould also indulge in some thrilling white water raft class I - IV rapids down the Pacuare, Reventazon or Pejibaye rivers and through canyons and jungles for the ultimate adventure!

For volcano lovers, the Arenal Volcano is a must see. It is part of the Pacific Ring of Fire that starts in New Zealand and ends in Peru and Chile. The sunsets are magnificent and unlike anything you would have ever seen, with neon reds, oranges and yellow skies and plumes of purple smoke billowing into the air from these great vents and geysers. Other volcanic attractions in Costa Rica and Jaco include: Miravalles, Laguna Poca Sol, Irazu, Rincon de la Vieja and Turrialba volcanoes.
