December 1st-4th- Reef CentroAmerica Surfing Games
Where: Playa Hermosa
Info: A parade celebrating the start of the games will be held on the Jaco main street on Dec 1st
 

December 3rd, 1pm- American Legion Post 16 Holiday Feast
Where: Del Mar Restaurant on Avenida Primera, San Jose
Tickets are 10,000 colones or $20

December 4th, 11:30-2:30pm, Democrats Plan Potluck
Where: The home of Barry Biesanz in Bello Horizonte, Escazu
The Democrats Abroad Group of Costa Rica is hosting a potluck with great live music, and it’s open to anyone that wants to attend. Bring food or drinks to share. There will be bus service to this event from el Teatro Nacional and Paco.

December 4th, 11am, Biker’s Club of Costa Rica 6th Annual Toy Run
Where: Begins at the The Harley Davidson Shop in the Centro Comericial Trejos Montealegre in San Rafel de Escazu
All bikers should bring an unwrapped toy securely attached to their bike for the ride, which will end at Casa Hogar, San Lazaro in Rio Azul, Desemparados, where the toys for all the children will be presented. An after party for those participating will be held in Santa Ana at the Motor Psychos bar, starting at 4pm.
 

December 20th-30th, 7:30pm, A Christmas Carol (Matinee is Monday, Dec. 26th at 3pm)
Where: The new OCEANS center on Pastor Diaz, Jaco Beach
Tickets are $30-35, Matinee tickets $15

Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom
An organized group of bilingual women who meet to work on peace activities, including letters, editorials, and campaigns. This group meets in Heredia, Costa Rica on the 1st Wednesday of every month. Call 2433-7078 and ask for Mitzi for more information.
