Should You Invest in Real Estate in the Current Economic Climate?

Welcome back to my Costa Rica Blog. I was just thinking today about how many people in the United States, as well as many other countries around the world start to cut back on spending and investing when the economy heads south "just in case" they run into trouble and might need that reserve later on. Speaking in general, this actually contributes to making the economy worse, but beyond that it also causes many people to miss out on making a huge profit later on. You see, the prices on real estate are down right now and by most accounts this so-called recession is going to be short-lived, so now is the perfect time to invest in real estate.

Another important consideration is where to invest. Costa Rica is primed right now because it is a growing country with a strong infra-structure already in place. If you could see into the future and understand what a boom is about to take place (and is already starting to) in this country you would seriously be buying up as much property here as you could possibly afford. There are few opportunities that come in a lifetime like this.

Sure, there is a recession going on in most of the world, but Costa Rica isn’t feeling it like the rest of the world. They didn’t offer 100% financing and no income no asset loans so we are not seeing the credit crisis. The economy is strong here and the real estate prices are stable. That is why now is the right time to invest in Real Estate, especially in Costa Rica. Before long the prices are going to go up and those wise enough to have gotten in at the right time will be making huge profits just like the wise investors that snapped up US real estate in the 1980’s and made a mint on it in the 1990’s. Life is too short to live with regret and missing an opportunity like this is definitely something you would regret later on.
