Costa Rica has one of the best health care systems in Latin America. They have what is known as Universal Healthcare which means that all eligible residents are entitled to health care including dental and mental health services. On top of that, there is also a private health care system in place that can augment and supplement the government sponsored health care system. Even if you had to rely solely on the private health care system you would still come out further ahead than getting the same treatments in the United States because the cost is much more reasonable.

Whether you come to vacation, do business or decide to move to Costa Rica, rest assured that you will be able to get the health care you need at a reasonable cost. And the care you get will be from highly qualified and properly trained doctors, dentists and surgeons. Keep in mind that while Costa Rica has many "wild" areas left with untouched rain forests and undeveloped beaches, it is still very much “civilized” when you go to the city. Sure, things here are different, but in most cases that is a good kind of different and that is definitely true when it comes to health care.
